Advisory Board Meeting 
Advisory Board members met on Saturday, August 14 in Chicago to an interactive meeting. The meeting was held at the Adler Planetarium where leading executives from around the world gathered to discuss retail and supply chain issues facing the Industry.

The special guest speaker was Marcia Meyer, President of PETsMART’s International Supply Company. Marcia gave a dynamic presentation on how PETsMART successfully involved their entire supply chain in the buying process resulting in reduced costs, streamlined business processes, more effective negotiations, better buying decisions, and ultimately stronger relationships with all supply chain partners.

As the largest pet superstore in the U.S. with 441 stores in North America, a direct mail catalog division, and 93 stores in the UK, PETsMART dominates the marketplace with $2.1 Billion in annual sales. Their success is a result of not only a highly customer focused approach, but a true partnership with their suppliers.
